L’albergo del miliardario triste (The sad billionaire’s hotel) (2004)

This is Ugo’s vision of a room filled with 99 grand vases to inspire people to see their artistic potential.
When those vases surroundes you a different level of sensitivity is achived. For this reason the project has also been called the La casa del poeta (Poet’s home). Ugo Marano co-operated with Raffaele d’Andria, a well known Italian architect to realize this artworks. The height of all 99 vases are 1.5 meters.

 

La Palestra dell’Eros (Eros’s gymnasium)


This project was designed to create a museum which will contain 244 unique plates. Each plate represents an emotion and when unified with the others in one place they creates a utopia effect. Ugo created this artworks by using only two colors. He used red to express the emotion and black to embody the expression.

 


Ceramic’s Tiles (2002)


Glazed ceramic tiles collection. Each tile measure about 20×20 cm.

Drawings

A series of drawings on paper, coming mostly from books’ illustrations.

A series of small ceramic’s vases from the early production of Ugo.

 


I LEGNI DI SAN MATTEO (Saint Matthew’s woods) – 1981


This series of wooden chairs were realized during the restoration on a XII century’s mosaic done by Ugo at Salerno’s Dome, in 1981. The chairs took that name from one of the fresco’s on the Dome which portrait Saint Matthew’s angel and possibly inspired Ugo during the creation.
